22,000 people are the reason the Delhi state government exists! or

Sheila aunty says “all I want to say that I don’t care about you!” Why ‘WE’ don’t matter?

Disclaimer 1: I voted for Congress (facepalm, hiding my face)

Summary: A party with 2 seats and 22,000 people who did not vote has a role in Congress victory in Delhi…not ME!

Who are we?

SEC A public, which means above average income, educated with college degrees, have pukka houses, live in the city and social media friendly.

WRONG!

We are the ones who don’t vote, and we do not matter to Congress. And the BJP and even the (who knows who) new party AAP – Aam Admi Party.

How did we reach this stage? Why you we want to protest against GoI? What actually happened two weeks back that hit us so hard. The answer is it could have been one of us, our sister, mother, wife, girl-friend and friend.  Well we all know that!

I broke down 6.30 am on Saturday morning when I heard the news of her death on Twitter. It cut us in the heart as it could have been avoided.  The worst was the news that the bus could be located from a hafta diary. The diary knew which bus piled on which route. The Indian police is a formation from British Raj, and the role was to follow order of the Raj. Which means whatever the police may be doing is at the behest of the current (Italian) Raj. Their order may be, “make sure you hit them hard, hit them so hard that these middle class people go back to their home and their daily grind.” But some people feel – how it is the fault of the politicians? You are right it the fault of “WE”!

Now the question which rises is why the current government in Delhi does not the electorate seriously. Well look at the following analysis of 2008 Delhi assembly elections.

  • Total seats – 70
    • Congress with 40% vote won 43 seats
    • BJP with 36% vote won 23 seats (4% difference in vote share, but also close to 45% difference in seats)
    • BSP with 14% vote won 2 seats (only two seats)
    • Others with 10% vote won 2 seats
    • Total Delhi Polling percentage: 58%

Analysis:

  • BSP was the game changer with 15% vote share
    • It ensure anti-congress vote was not consolidated
    • With FDI show in recent period, WE should not be surprised that a alliance or tacit working will be involved between the two parties
  • Who are the 42% who did not vote
    • Ans: Mostly is the “WE”
    • So if you are eligible to vote, go out
    • And if you are eligible to vote, ensure that people in your family who are eligible go out in vote
    • Vote for the correct person (not a party)… and if person are same then vote for the party which can make a impact
    • Don’t waste your vote, as this the reason they don’t us seriously. If we vote for issues and force to vote only the correct person will these honorable non-We’s wake up.

Example: Vikaspuri: comprised of DMC-Ward No.47 (Urban) and Hastsal (CT) DMC-Ward No. 48 (Part) Bapraula, Raja Pur Khurd, Bakkar Wala, Tilang Pur Kotla and Shafi Pur Ranhola villages.

  • Poling percentage, 55.7%.
  • BJP candidate lost to congress candidate by mere – 943 votes (0.69% of total valid votes)
  • Which means one apartment block – 300 flats did not vote (assumption)
  • Other voters:  42095 (31%)
  • Winning candidate vote share 35%, which means 65% did not vote for him
  • Is this democracy? Yes it is. Even Hitler, was elected by the people and his party just won some 30% of the vote.

This mean democracy is about vote splits. And as long as any government thinks this way then it is “WE” are bound to loose.

THEEKHAIAnother interesting analysis on Most Honorable Sheila Dikshit:

  • She won by about 14,000 votes, polling 52% of the total votes polled
  • About 59,000 people did not vote in her constituency
  • In this 59,000 people – 27,000 women did not vote

My, my with Nirbay/Amanat/Damini tragedy I question these 59,000 non-voters now. And we should think what if the 59,000 had voted the other way what could have happened. (Same goes for men who did not vote)

Other low margin victories:

Below 4% of vote share difference was 19 regions, out of which 14 of them was for the Congress and 4 for the BJP. So lets look into the 14 now.

Guess what, the total difference in votes for these 14 seats are –21,943 votes only. Which means that if BJP would have polled 21,944 more votes; their seats would have been 37 and that of the Congress would be only 29.

So the current government of Delhi state has been formed due to some 22,000 Delhites not coming out and vote.

SHOCKED NA! So I was aslo.

What can BJP do?

  • Alliance (12 seats): Get in Nitish Kumar party in Delhi, and share seats with them
Recommended seats: Sultan Pur Majra, Nangloi Jat, Mangol Puri, Matia Mahal, Ballimaran, Madipur, Najafgarh, Deoli, Badarpur, Kondli, Seemapuri, Seelam Pur
  • Tactical withdrawal and support (5 seats): Support to other parties like AAP
Recommended seats: Sadar Bazar, Dwarka, Jangpura, R.K. Puram, Kalkaji/ Laxmi Nagar
  • Concentrated focus (53 seats): Participate with more focus and customized message. Announce candidates 6-9 months before election
  • Get women out to vote: 43% of women did not vote. If 1.1% of them more had voted with BJP in those 14 constituencies then BJP would be in power (get 40% men who did not vote out of their lazy seats also)

So as an Indian what can I do now. Well I appeal:

  • I appeal to Kiran Bedi with folded hands rise up… be the Inspector which led to the birth of Inspector Kalyani (Udaan serial) and train Delhi Police
  • I appeal to “WE” go out and vote
  • I appeal to all Indians (note not India, but people who believe in the concept of India) to vote for the right person for that period and not for a party
  • Appeal to AAP, please do not divide the anti-congress votes. Focus on the seats above and you will get support form other parties

Let’s search out these individual and vet them. Vet them before Mr. Sibal (or who ever is in control), to shut us down! But for Mahatma Gandhi social media was the WILL, and the WILL to keep walking.  Like I heard recently, Fear is never real, only danger is. Fear resides in our mind and we need to kill this fear with will power and move forward!

Only when we make our vote count and go out and vote it will make a difference and make any politician scarred, and force them to respect our opinions.

To know more details on how ‘WE’ can make the difference, please do comment and write back to me. Countdown to #Operation 545 had begun! And honestly, I don’t like Namo, but it does not mean I will not vote for him.

Summary: A party with 2 seats (15% votes share) and 22,000 people who did not vote in 14 areas had a role in Congress victory in Delhi…and ME also! I may be a mango man, but juice nikalna ata hai!

And Happy NEW YEAR!

Note: I dont own the copy right of the cartoon, but taken it from FB. Also i do not wish to harm the sentiments of any honourable and not so honourbale or “WE” people or any people. I withdraw my thinking (and statement), if anyone gets hurts.

The Man who could not be Prime Minister of India

Pranab Mukharjee missed chances to be PM and why is he important to Congress and India

There are only a handful of personalities who have exercised the foregrounds of great power and authority in the backdrop of Indian politics like Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.

Currently, Mr Mukherjee is the Finance Minister of the INC led UPA Government, and also is the leader of the ruling party in the 15th Lok Sabha. Mukherjee also heads a number of important committees comprising the Group of Ministers. He is also a senior member of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, Parliament, Infrastructure, Political Affairs, Security, Prices,
Unique Identification Authority of India, and World Trade Organization.

Mukherjee’s ability to counter any hostile situation has helped him to earn the name of ‘crisis man’ in the spheres of Indian politics. Whenever there arouse a situation that needs dexterous handling, he was assigned with the task. Not only he is considered to be the face of the government, but also Mr Mukherjee is a key member in the Working Committee of the Indian National Congress. This organisation is the highest decision-making body of the Congress Party.

Mr Mukherejee’s shrewd and adept financial planning also helped him to earn a lot of awards of both national and international repute. The ‘Emerging Markets’ in the year of 2010 honored him with the prestigious award of “Finance Minister of the Year
for Asia”. His significant contributions into budget deficit reduction during the turbulent times also got acknowledged when ‘The Banker’ offered him the coveted status of “Finance Minister of the Year” in December 2010.

Mukherjee’s unfailing loyalty to the party and competence in many high profile ministerial posts have led him to be the most respected senior minister in the cabinet. But, all these effectiveness of being such a great political brain have not helped him to sit
on the coveted throne of the Indian Prime Minister. Rather, whenever the course of events appeared perfect for his accession, he has been eventually denied. The cause of such a decision may find its roots to the incident that occurred aftermath Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

Owing to a leadership dispute with Rajiv Gandhi in 1986, Pranab Mukherjee was expelled from Congress. This followed subsequently after he was denied with a cabinet minister’s post. It was during this period that he formed Rashtriya Samajwadi Congress. But, the issues of dispute was soon over in 1989, after both he and Rajiv entered into a settlement. The newly formed RSC got merged into INC, and Mukherjee was accepted into the party with a hearty welcome. But, this event was enough to render a blotch over his allegiance.

Also, as Mr Mukherjee is very much politically ambitious and is a dexterous strategist with his own thought process, he is not an ideal choice to be at the helm of the Government leaving no option to Ms Sonia Gandhi, the Congress supremo, to use him as a
puppet. Time and again, Mr Mukherjee has appeared to showcase a bold outlook in helping both the party and the Government in making formidable decisions. So, Congress also will never want to overburden him with added responsibilities. Rather, they are
quite content to have Mr Mukherjee to appear as the greatest troubleshooter whom the party can rely upon at any moment of turbulence and confusion.

But seeing the 2G note thing, Sonia’s health scare, Anna’s gate…. is the road been created for that coveted spot?

And do see the following blog (with Shah commision report)  for some interesting snippets on the ‘man who could have been PM’ (not verified)

Shane Warne, Muralitharan, Kumble and other Spinners called in to tackle Anna, BCCI is responsible for ANNA’s movement:

Our leaders are looking for spinners, and GoI are going through all lengths to spin things in their favour. Before I move ahead, let me introduce you to the concept of spin doctors.

Spin Doctors (as wiki): In public relations, spin is a form of propaganda, achieved through providing an interpretation of an event or campaign to persuade public opinion in favor or against a certain organization or public figure. While traditional public relations may also rely on creative presentation of the facts, “spin” often, though not always, implies disingenuous, deceptive and/or highly manipulative tactics.

So with failing of primary speakers, now they bring in a second battalion of people. What I think which has irked the political class is how come without Biryani or beer or a transport how come so many dumb (for them) Indian is following a man. The British thought of Gandhi the same, and we know what happened to them.

In the move ‘Wag the Dog’ (1997), the US President with a falling rating and a sex scandal needed to divert attention. So a spin doctor was brought in to create a fake war in Albania.

Not that I am giving ideas, but the media spin doctors are trying their level best. Listen to the following which have been taking from different news channels (summarizing it):

  • Operation Discredit Movement Heads
    • Kiran Bedi is not above the law, she is trying to badkhofying the Delhi police to rise up. She herself hit lawyers but no naga’s sadhus saying they are praying (two separate incidents not related), but trying to paint the picture she mayhave a Saffron thinking
    • Bushan IT returns (Sr one), has irrelevant claim so that he does not pay taxes
    • Surfacing of a CD which speaks of deal making
    • Looking into Anna’s past to find something wrong and suspicious
    • In a tweet a anchor saying that, what will the middle class youth react if they know Anna want to trash people who drink
  • Operation Mock People
    • UPA spokes people: ‘Who is civil society?’  (I hope he got his message – ONE TIGHT SLAP). Only Parliamentarian can make laws, if you want come and fight elections.
    • People are corrupt themselves and its all hypocrisy. In fact international articles are coming giving this view. (may be sponsored again)
    • When Kejriwal was interviewed by on the prop up channels the announcer laughed in a mocking way when he said that their version Lokpal bill the investigator has less powers then a Class ‘X’(don’t remember) officer of govt. Even income tax officer of a particular grade can investigate, judge and prosecute Chief Justice, PM for their income tax returns. The fun part was to see her face as Keriwal gave an explanation; it showed embarrassment indicating that she herself has not read the bill or a OPPS movement this is something they should not be broadcasting
  • Bring in non-political celebrities
    • Nandan Nilekaniin one of the channels giving his view. Good view it was saying that why the hullubo about this bill and one bill will not change anything. He has a point when he said it is one of the 10-15 things which needs to be done. So my rebuttal to him is – Boss ‘ek se tho shuro karo’ , start from atleast one. And also no bill is good – if reservation bill has not solved the generations of inequality then Mr Nandan Nilekani, please please….tell the
reservation bill is not correct and it should be cancelled.
The funny thing was to see the anchor’s face – like the director was saying ‘show serious-show serious and shocked face’. Go to Bollywood now…wait…. Zollywood!!!
  • People supporting are Mob:
    • Harping that anti-social elements are there. Pickpockets in RajGhat etc, so movement should
      be stopped. Eh!!!!
    • They are disturbing people around Tihar Jail area
    • They are dirtying the place (come on)
  • Foreign Hand
    • There is money coming from outside
    • America is responsible (when John Mccain was in town this happened)
    • How are people organizing themselves – boss…cheta…we have brains to do that, we don’t need false leaders to show us that.
  • And their favorite – RSS angle
    • A Channel was showing a recording of a ranting lady, telling RSS is there, but that show was broadcasted after Baba’s Ramdev strike.

My satirical answers to Anna’s movement are that BCCI is responsible; they are giving money so that India’s performance against England is hidden. So these are the hidden spin doctors you need. Get the spinners.

In twitter some people ask Bharath Mata photo is removed, I say it is fine as the issue is corruption only! Let’s keep it that way. No violence lets question to get some answers. Given a choice no one wants to be corrupt….and lets get the answers from GoI now. If the answer does not come then…

Disclaimer: I am dead and ranting from my grave. No disrespect meant, just want to say good morning to my honorable leaders.
